Lax

I was at my lax tournament on Saturday.  I got a sweatshirt. I did the how fast can you shoot. My highest was 31.  After the tournament my grandma got me ice cream.

Field Day was cancelled

Today we were supposed to have field day but it was canceled. So today everyone was wearing their shirts.  I was so mad because I wore mine but I changed.  The reason why it was cancelled was that it was raining.  Now we have to wait a week for it.  Hopefully it doesn't get canceled again.

Waterloo Village Trip

Native American Names

We have started our final social studies unit of the year: Native Americans.  We kicked off the unit by learning about Native American names.  Their names may tell about what the person does well or wants to do, something that may have happened on the day of their birth, or something else that has specific meaning to the person.  With some input from the students, I created a Native American name and symbol for them.  We had a naming ceremony in which their names were explained.  They then chose to name me, "Teaching Owl" and Mrs. Ellis, "Calm Grass".

SCIENCE

For science we learned about life cycles and we played a life cycle game that was like another type of tag. First I was a cricket next I was an anole last I was an anole again. I had a lot of fun playing!!!!!!! by Kaitlyn

ANIMORPHS

Me,Jillian,Mason,Hunter,Christian,Alex are reading a new book. It is called " ANIMORPHS". It's really awesome because we are all people that have a special power. Whenever they touch an animal they turn into that animal,but if they don't touch that animal again before two hours they stay that animal forever! The books are......An alien which is called The Alien.....A cat one which is The Visitor.....An eagle is called The Encounter.....A dolphin which is called The Message.... A gorilla which is called The Predator and a weird person which is called The Capture. I will keep you updated after I finish the Visitor.

ANIMORPHS

Today Mrs.Sullivan got 7 Animorph books Me, Shanna, Alex, Hunter, Hannah, Mason and Christian all have the books.  I'm reading the 7th book. I used to have to read the 4th but I gave it to Shanna. I think it is cool that me and Hannah have the same person but different animals. Mine is a bear and named Rachel and Hannah has Rachel but in form of a cat. Hunter has a gorilla and Shanna has a dolphin and Mason has an eagle and Alex has a fly and Christian is a monster looking thing. The plot of the book is that a wizard gave over 50 people a power that if they touch an animal then it would turn into that animal. Mine is the stranger one in the book series. Hunter and Mason both got all of the books. All of them cost over 100 dollars. Our school does not have any but I put one on hold because Alpine has them so that's cool.

The cogat

In class we are taking the cogat.  The cogat is 3 days long and we have 65 questions.  I was expecting it to be easier I thought it would be easier and shorter.   I thought that it would easier than the Parcc. We had 10 minutes to do 20 questions.

EASY

The Cogat is super easy. Easier than anything. You can get done in a second. It takes 3 days to do it. There are around 180 questions. That is how easy the cogat is.

Food Chain

In science, we are learning about the food chain and food webs.  We went outside to play the Food Chain Game, which let the students act out the food chain using the animals of owl, anole, and cricket.

My new backpack

In my chapter book that I am reading I am so close to chapter 11!!!! I am so happy. I got a new back pack!!! It is a green , blue and purple plaid back pack. I won it at the fun fair in Helen Morgan school!!!!! I do not go to Mrs. Anglum's room any more. It feels weird not going down to Mrs. Anglum's room.

 In gym class we are playing four square. In four square you try      to spike the ball in one box and make the other people miss the  spike or throw. It is really fun because I am good at it. I'm good at  it because I play with my friend sometimes. Gym is my favorite  special because it is amazing and fun.

The field trip

The field trip was to the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey.On the field trip there were a lot of cool things.  One of things there was the sky scraper.  I did not go on the sky scraper because the line was too long.  Another thing they had was the touch tunnel.  I did not go in because the line was too long.    But one thing that we did do was we watched a movie about humpback whales.  Are field trip was so much fun.

Spring break

On Spring break I did not have a lot to do.  All I had was gymnastics and lacrosse.  In lacrosse we got cool jerseys.  I went to Sky Zone.  It was so cool.  I also  got cool presents for Easter.

The Eagle Cam

The eagle ate a fish and a skunk yesterday when I was watching the cam. The eagle moved the skunk and I saw it.  It was AWESOME.

Life Cycle Project

In class we are did a life cycle project. Nick and I did an eagle. We didn't do partners we just decided to do the same thing. I looked up information in the books about all kinds of  eagles but it didn't say the life cycles so Mrs.Sullivan looked it up. I had a great time working on this project.

A Fascinating Eagle

     In class we are working on a Bald Eagle project where we are watching an Eagle then doing things like pretending to be a scientist and doing observations on it.  When we first started watching the Eagle the eggs hadn't hatched yet but we kept watching it to see when they hatched and we have seen some very cool things when doing it.  For example, we saw the the female Eagle rolling the eggs so not only one side was being kept warm.  Another thing we saw was the male and female Eagle both in the nest at the same time because they were switching who was going to watch the eggs and who was going to find food.  About 2 weeks ago the eggs finally hatched, the eaglets were so cute and tiny.  Now we were seeing so many new cool things.  For example,  we got to see the parents feed the baby Eagles and the Eagles playing.  There is still so much to see with the Eagles because they are so little and when they are older they will represent America just like their parents, but until then we will see so many fun and funny things with the Eagles and Eaglets so I can't wait for that, I JUST CAN'T!

Doll People

Cassidy and I are reading a book  Doll People  it's about Annabelle before she became evil. It's a very good book! We're in the middle of a chapter because we didn't have time to finish the chapter. In the book, Annabelle has a family of dolls and they come alive when the humans aren't around. The Aunt Doll, Auntie Sarah went out to explore the humans house and has been gone for a few centuries. Annabelle, Uncle Doll and Bobby aka Annabelle's brother went into the human's house to find Auntie Sarah doll. Doll People is such a great book!

Donavan's Word Jar

In my reading group my friends Shea, Jillian, Declan and I  are reading this cool book called Donavan's Word Jar.  It's about this boy named Donavan who has a problem.  He does not collect football cards or shopkins,  he collects words and his problem is that he does not have room in his word jar for any more words. Well we did not finish it yet but I think it will be good because the next chapter is called Donavan's Decision and that sounds cool and interesting. That's all I am going to write today but when we read the next chapter I will make a another one when I read it so bye.

Field trip

Tomorrow  we are going on a field trip.  We are going to the Liberty Science Center.   Right when we get into school we are leaving.  The bus will be loud.  It will also be fun.  I hope that it will be fun.

The best project

 In science my class drew the life cycle of an animal or a plant. I did a plant because it was easier. In my life cycle I put the biggest plant in the world and some small ones and really cool one too. I did a seed. Then a sprouted seed. After that I did a seedling. Next I did a plant with flower. Last I did the finale stage a plant with seeds. It was fantastic and fun.

Our new seats

This paragraph is about us changing our seats. The thing that was really special was that Mason got to pick who he wanted to sit by because all month he has been working hard and being super kind to others. I really congratulate Mason for being an amazing friend to me and not for only a month.  He has been a great friend all year to me. He did not pick me to sit next to him but he is still one of my best friends. I think that I have a good seat because if I was sitting next to him I would be too chatty with him. Now I sit next to Kathleen and Caroline. This table is a good table for me.

Field Trip

The field trip Thursday is awesome.  I know that because my cub scout group went there for a sleep over.  We had to sleep in the booger room.  It was called that because it tells you about boogers.  It was cool at the Liberty Science Center. Eagles

Today, I am going to talk about what I think about the eagles. First, I have a name suggestion for the second eagle. Since my cousin Luke's birthday, the day after mine, is the same day that the second eagle was born, I'm thinking of  naming the second eagle Luke and the first one could stay Cassidy. You don't have to agree with the Luke name, though. The whole class should agree with the name. Also, I have a story about when I was telling my mom about it. I told my mom about the eagle, and asked if she ever heard of it. Then, she said, " I heard of something like it forever ago, so it must have been something different." Then I said, "Well, it was probably the same one because this is the 12th year!" .  Got to go now!

What Christian and I did for Sarah Plain and Tall

In Sarah Plain and Tall Christian and I read chapter 4. The emotions that Sarah had were sad on the first page. The emotions that Sarah at the end of the chapter were happy. Sarah was sad because she brought a sea shell and put it up to her ear so she could hear the sea. That made her sad that she was away from home. She was happy because she was playing with the children and singing with Papa.

Eagle Observation

This week we are doing something called Eagle Observation and it's cool because you get to see what's happening right......... NOW. For example you can see the babies and once I even saw the mom and dad at the same time yesterday it was awesome!!!!! Also you get to see the eggs hatched but the sad thing was that we were in gym when they hatched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EAGLE CAM

Giant Cup Tower/Castle At Recess Two Days Ago

On  Tuesday my friends Alex, Declan, Adam, Liam, and I built two giant and amazing towers and castles with stacking cups. First we built a standard castle by making a small three cup tower and then we added on more cups until we didn't have any more or had a bit extra and once we were finished it was almost as tall as I am and since we had a bit of extra cups we made a three stack and put an upside down cup on top.  Next after we annihilated the first one and Mrs.Sullivan took a picture of it we built a castle type one where we made a  giant circle than stacked more on the bottom layer until it was tall. But we left some and made it look like a castle by placing cups one on each side like a crown or a castle and we put a quarter ring on the left and right of the castle/crown and then Mrs.Sullivan took a picture so we destroyed it.  Then I decided to play a Who Would Win? game and other boys started to build one more but I didn't get to see what it looked like because they didn't finished.

Fun Recess

On Tuesday at recess   my friends and I made a lot of cup stacking castles. It was a lot of fun because we laughed. It was also fun because we built it really high and then we knocked it down and dived on it. Also we played Who Would Win cards. The only reason we got to play the things we did  at recess was because Mrs.Sullivan gave us extra recess because at our  recess we had to walk around the school so we got extra recess.

Indoor recess

Critter Club

Today I kept on reading The Critter Club books. They are really good. There are 4 girls named Ellie, Marion, Liz and Amy. The books are about the 4 girls making a pet shelter for stray animals. For example dogs, cats, fish, bunnies and some other cute animals. The club is called The Critter Club. They made it in the friend's barn. The series goes up from 1 to 10. At school I'm reading 7 and 1. In book 7 Liz takes Ellie, Marion, and Amy to Marigold Lake. She has a cabin there.

What is my favorite book?

Hum what is my favorite book?  Maybe its 11 Birthdays where Amanda turns 11 5 days in a row. Or maybe its Magic Tree House Tonight on the Titanic where Jack and Annie find a dog.  When Annie gets a book about the Titanic and all of a sudden they are next to the TITANIC and need to help the dog find its owner and fast because the Titanic will sink in 2 hours! OH maybe its Magic Puppy Cloud Capers or Mysteries According to Humphrey or Junie B Jones and the Mushy Gushy Valentine or Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House. All are good but what is yours??

Visited the book fair

 Yesterday I went to the book  fair and I got 3 books. I got a Shopkins book and an owl book. I  also got a Rainbow magic book, I  had so much fun yesterday.

Recess

In recess Alex, Nick, Liam, and I made 2 giant cup buildings. One was a giant pyramid and the other was a circle thingy. It was pretty cool because it took us less than 10 minutes. Then when I finished I went to play a game of the Who Would Win game with Hunter. How you play is that when you or someone else has more of the weight, length, or strength you get both of the cards. If you get the same number of either weight, length, or strength you do it again until you beat the other player. If you beat the other player you get all of the cards. That is what Liam, Alex, Hunter, Nick, and I did at recess.

The New Game

So on Tuesday  we got to have extra recess!!!!! Me, Nick,  and Adam played the new card game, Who Would Win? It was fun. For example we had to see which one had either more speed or more weight or more length. The first winner was Nick. The next round I won. The last round until we had to line up was Adam. So everyone won one round. I really like this new game.
